NYC Chapter (AHRC NYC Chapter) Schools Comprehensive Re-opening Plan Preschools AHRC New York City Preschools are built upon the belief that children with developmental delays have the same needs as all children and that parents and families are the most important people in the lives of their children. AHRC NYC currently operates four preschools for students with and without disabilities. School Age Programs We operate two schools for students ages 5 to 21 who have been recommended for a non-public school placement. Our school-age programs are designed to provide educational services in highly-structured, supportive settings with well-trained staff who understand the strategies and techniques necessary for the successful instruction of students with a specific set of strengths and deficits. Serving Children With Autism All six of the schools operated by AHRC New York City utilize The HOPE Continuum. HOPE is an acronym that represents our mission regarding the education of children with autism, program guidelines for best practices, and the philosophy of Applied Behavioral Analysis, (ABA).
